In a significant diplomatic move, Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani held a high-level meeting in Doha on Thursday, April 17, 2025. The talks, hosted and facilitated by Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, underscored a renewed commitment to regional cooperation and mutual respect for national sovereignty.
According to an official statement from the Syrian Presidency, the meeting unfolded in a spirit of partnership and unity, reflecting the historic and strategic depth of Syrian-Iraqi relations.
