The US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz and Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani held a phone call, emphasizing the urgency of forming a new cabinet and resuming oil exports from the region as soon as possible.

Both officials underscored the importance of strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the United States.

According toMasrour Barzani statement, “Both sides agreed on the need to form a new cabinet without delay and stressed the importance of restarting oil exports from the Kurdistan Region at the earliest opportunity.”

During the call, they also discussed the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East and the necessity of maintaining regional stability.
