The leadership of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq extended congratulations to Donald Trump following his victory in the U.S. presidential election, expressing a commitment to reinforcing ties with the United States.

In a post on X, the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, stated, "I extend my warmest congratulations to President Donald Trump and Vice President-Elect J.D. Vance on their election victory. I look forward to working together to further strengthen our partnership and deepen the bilateral ties between the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the United States."

Similarly, Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani congratulated Trump, also on X, stating, "Congratulations, Donald Trump, on your re-election as the President of the United States. I look forward to deepening the partnership between the Kurdistan Region and the United States and working together to advance peace and stability in the region."

Trump’s return to the White House, hailed as a "magnificent victory," marks a historic comeback. Celebrating with supporters in Florida, the Republican leader said, "America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate."

In addition to Trump’s victory, the Republican Party has regained control of the Senate, flipping key seats and further consolidating its influence in Washington.
