Lahur Sheikh Jangi, who leads the People's Front, has called for the people of Badinan to withdraw support from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). He claims the KDP's strength is minimal without backing from this region.
At an event introducing People's Front candidates in Duhok, Jangi appealed for votes and trust, promising to protect people's interests and prevent the misuse of their votes and resources, stating, "We will never betray your trust and vote. We will ensure that your vote, will, and resources are not misappropriated."
The People's Front is fielding a total of 122 candidates across all four constituencies, comprising 81 men and 41 women.
Jangi highlighted Duhok's economic struggles, noting its status as the poorest province with high youth unemployment. He accused the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and KDP of fearing popular vote and attempting to undermine agreements with Baghdad. He remarked, “The People's Front is dedicated to serving the community. The PUK and KDP aim to undermine agreements with Baghdad. We will take action against those who infringe upon the people's resources and pockets.”
