A delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has handed over the two-month payroll to the Iraqi Federal Ministry of Finance. KRG Ministry of Finance is looking for a solution to the August salary deficit.

A technical team of the KRG Ministry of Finance in Baghdad today began a meeting with officials of the Iraqi government and the Iraqi Federal Ministry of Finance, to resolve the issues facing the salary of public servants in Kurdistan region.

"The team took the payroll for August and September with them," KRG spokesman Peshawa Hawramani told media close to the KRG Prime Minister Masrour Barzani. According to Peregraf, the payroll for the two months has been submitted to the Iraqi Federal Ministry of Finance today.

"The team took the reference budget, the latest biometric updates and answers to all questions from the Iraqi Ministry of Finance," Hawramani said

The Iraqi Ministry of Finance for the August salary and the completion of the July salary sent 183 billion dinars to the Kurdistan Region earlier and 572 billion dinars yesterday, bringing the total to 755 billion dinars.

"There is a deficit of 243 billion dinars in the money sent by the Federal Ministry of Finance to complete the salaries of the July and August months," said Hunar Jamal, spokesman for the KRG Ministry of Finance.

The KRG Ministry of Finance is waiting for Baghdad to send the deficit to distribute the August salaries and the date of the start of the salary distribution is still unknown.

"The team of the Ministry of Finance, which is currently in Baghdad, will also investigate the deficit of the August salary, which is more than 240 billion dinars," Hawramani claimed.

The team of the KRG Ministry of Finance will ask the Iraqi Ministry of Finance about the reasons for not sending the 243 billion dinars and try to solve the problem.

If the Iraqi Ministry of Finance does not send the full salary for the month of August to the Kurdistan Region by the end of this week, the KRG Ministry of Finance will have to fill the deficit with internal revenues and distribute the salaries next week.
