Peregraf — The Iraqi federal government has transferred the final installment of funding for February salaries to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), according to the KRG Ministry of Finance and Economy.

In a statement, the ministry confirmed that the latest tranche of funds has been deposited into its bank account, paving the way for the payment of public sector salaries across the Kurdistan Region.

“The final installment of funding for February salaries has been deposited into the Ministry of Finance’s bank account,” the ministry said.

Officials added that the detailed salary distribution schedule will be released later today. Once the schedule is announced, the process of distributing salaries to public employees will begin immediately.

The transfer comes amid ongoing financial coordination between Baghdad and Erbil over budget allocations and the payment of public sector wages in the Kurdistan Region.

Public sector salaries in the region have frequently faced delays in recent years due to disputes between the federal government and the KRG over oil revenues, budget shares, and financial administration.

The latest transfer is expected to ease pressure on tens of thousands of government employees who rely on monthly salaries amid challenging economic conditions.
