Peregraf — Bafel Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Mazloum Abdi, General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in Dabashan on Tuesday.
The meeting, attended by Qubad Talabani, senior PUK leader and Deputy Prime Minister of the KRG, focused on the evolving situation in Syria, particularly in Rojava.
According to a statement, Abdi briefed the PUK leadership on his recent participation in the Munich Security Conference and outlined the latest developments on the ground in Syria.
The SDF commander expressed appreciation for the PUK’s continued support, particularly in efforts to confront terrorism in the region.
Talabani reaffirmed his party’s position, stating that support for the people of Rojava will continue until Syria becomes a state that guarantees equal rights for all and reflects the country’s diverse social fabric.
