U.S. Envoy Barrack Holds Call with Masoud Barzani on Syria Crisis and Iraq’s Future

Peregraf- U.S. Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack said he held a “productive” phone call with Masoud Barzani to discuss the situation in Syria, stressing the importance of maintaining the ceasefire and ensuring humanitarian assistance to those in need, particularly in Kobani.

Barrack added that Washington’s position on Iraq remains clear, warning that a government installed by Iran would not succeed in meeting Iraqi or Syrian aspirations for a brighter future, nor in building an effective partnership with the United States.
