Peregraf — Mazlum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), affirmed that, under ongoing agreements, the Syrian Arab Army is not allowed to enter Kurdish regions.
Speaking to Ronahî TV, Abdi said, "We want the Kurdish regions to protect themselves," and noted that efforts for the ceasefire have been ongoing for some time. "There is an open line of communication between us and Damascus," he added.
Abdi emphasized transparency with the public and thanked those involved in mobilization efforts. "Just like in 2014, Kobanê will lead this resistance as well," he said, while urging people not to fall for political manipulation: "Things occurred that the Kurdish people did not deserve. I hope that our people do not fall for [political] games."
All Kurdish political forces currently stand with Rojava, he noted, highlighting unity amid ongoing negotiations and regional tensions.
